The OSA celebrated Founder’s Day of its Alma Mater on 30th March, 1987. H.E. Sh. S. S. Ray, Governor of Punjab, was the Chief Guest. Dr. Bhagat Singh, Vice Chancellor, Punjabi university, Patiala, was the Guest of Honour. Smt. Maya Ray, the First lady of Punjab, also graced the occasion.
The Chief Guest honoured the following distinguished old Mohindrians.

3. Prof. Harnek Singh King
4. Prof. Guranditta Singh Brar
5. Sh. Ram Sarup Ankhi

The following retired Principals of the College were also honoured on the occasion.

4. Prof. Umrao Singh
5. Prof. Harbakhsh Singh
6. Dr. Joginder Singh

An All India Art Exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest. Awards amounting to Rs. 27,000/ were given to 27 winners.
The Chief Guest also released the Souvenir, published by the OSA to mark the occasion.
